Start with carriage motion

Linear guide problems often show up as defects that repeat with carriage movement rather than with one ink channel. The fastest repair is not always the part swap. It is the diagnosis that proves which system is failing. Linear guides, head cables, ink filters, pumps, dampers, covers, encoder strips, and UV fiber should all be checked before a shop spends money on a printhead that may not be the problem.
